Start your journey by completing our online application. Share your childcare experience, unique qualities, certifications and training, and upload your up-to-date resume. If you need assistance refreshing your resume, we’re here to help you put your best foot forward.

Step 2: Virtual Interview with The Heart State Nanny Agency
We believe in getting to know our nannies personally! After reviewing your application, we’ll schedule a virtual interview to learn more about your goals, unique qualities, and ideal work environment. This step helps us make a thoughtful match with a family.

Step 3: References & Background Check
Once the interview is complete, we’ll begin gathering reference feedback and conducting a comprehensive background check. This step ensures the highest level of trust and safety for the families we serve. Please note that we may conduct a drug test upon request.

Step 4: Meet Potential Families
When a family’s needs align with your experience and preferences, we’ll arrange an introduction and interview. Afterward, we’ll collect your feedback and handle all negotiations, such as the pay rate, allowing you to focus on building a strong connection.
Requirements for Nannies:
2+ Years of professional childcare experience.
High School Diploma.
Must be at least 20 years old.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Must pass a comprehensive background check.
Current CPR & First Aid Certification: Current certification is required or willingness to obtain before placement.
Valid U.S. driver license and proof of insurance.
Reliable transportation and access to a dependable vehicle (if applicable for the role).
An updated and professional nanny resume highlighting relevant experience.
Clear and consistent availability that aligns with family needs, with a 1 year minimum commitment.
Possess a positive attitude, strong communication skills, reliability, and professionalism.
Must be passionate about childcare and knowledgeable about child development and current best practices.
Have excellent professional and personal recommendations.
Willingness and ability to pass a comprehensive motor vehicle check and drug screen (if requested by the client).
Willingness and ability to pass a childcare skills assessment (if requested by the client).
